Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated 20 June 2026.

1. Who we are

This website (simvicious.com) is operated by Simvicious, a music producer based in Wrexham, Wales, UK. (Legal/trading name: [to confirm].) In this policy "we", "us" and "our" refer to Simvicious.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your personal data, you can contact us at [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Contact form data: when you use our contact form we collect the name, email address, subject and message you provide so we can respond to your enquiry.
  • Analytics data (only with your consent): if you accept analytics cookies we collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you interact with the site. This uses Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*).
  • Purchases: beat licenses and purchases are handled by BeatStars on their own platform. Any payment or account details you enter there are collected and processed by BeatStars, not by us. We do not see or store your card details.

3. Lawful basis for processing

  • Enquiries: our lawful basis for handling contact-form enquiries is legitimate interest (responding to people who contact us about our services).
  • Analytics: our lawful basis for analytics cookies is your consent. Analytics is off by default and only runs if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time (see the cookies section below).

4. Who we share data with (processors)

We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to run this site. These act as our data processors or as independent controllers for their own services:

  • Contact form — the form on this site is handled in-house by our own software (PHP) on our web host; submissions are emailed to our inbox and delivered through our email provider (Spacemail).
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) — website analytics, only with your consent.
  • BeatStars — hosts our beat store and handles purchases and payments on its own platform.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery and security for the website.
  • Our web host — stores and serves the website files. [host to confirm]

We do not sell your personal data. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep contact-form enquiries only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and no longer than 24 months unless you become a customer or we have a legal reason to keep them longer. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months) and is aggregated/anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data (right to erasure);
  • object to or restrict our processing of your data;
  • ask for your data in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

7. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential / functional cookies — needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice (we store your choice in your browser's local storage under simv_cookie_consent). These do not need consent.
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that help us understand how the site is used. These are set only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner.

When you first visit, analytics cookies are denied by default (Google Consent Mode). You can accept or reject analytics cookies using the banner. To change your choice later, clear your browser's site data for simvicious.com and reload the page, then make a new choice. We never enable advertising cookies on this site.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
